Catalogue & Invitation

Lou Eldon

We are filled with excitement as we share the latest project that has just arrived on our doorstep: the catalogue of work and private view invitation for the upcoming solo exhibition of the talented British artist Ruth Mulvie, titled "There's No Place Like It," hosted at Colonnade House in Worthing. This project is particularly special as it not only showcases Ruth's incredible artwork but also represents our ongoing collaboration that has evolved over the years.

A Showcase of Vibrant Artistry

The catalogue beautifully presents Ruth's brand new collection of original paintings, capturing the essence of summer with vibrant, feel-good seaside scenes. Each piece is a celebration of color and joy, reflecting Ruth's unique artistic vision and her ability to evoke emotion through her work. From sunlit beaches to bustling seaside promenades, the catalogue encapsulates the warmth and nostalgia of summer days spent by the sea.

A Long-Standing Collaboration

My journey with Ruth began several years ago, from developing her brand identity to designing her website and creating promotional materials for her exhibitions, each project has allowed me to delve deeper into her artistic world. For this solo exhibition, it was essential to give the show its own distinct identity, which can be seen throughout the marketing materials and window signage.

This cohesive branding not only enhances the visual impact of the exhibition but also helps to create a memorable experience for visitors. By aligning all materials under a unified theme, we aim to engage the audience and encourage them to explore Ruth's work in greater depth.

"Absolutely thrilled with the catalogue, so pleased with all your hard work, thank you."

Ruth Mulvie, Artist

Invitation Design

The private view invitation is designed to reflect the cheerful and inviting spirit of the exhibition. Its vibrant colours and engaging layout are intended to draw in art lovers, inviting them to experience the joy of Ruth's paintings firsthand. The invitation is more than just a notification; it serves as a glimpse into the atmosphere of the exhibition.

The Importance of Print in a Digital Age

In today's digital landscape, seeing one’s work in print remains a thrilling experience. Printed materials have a tangible quality that digital platforms cannot replicate. They offer a sense of permanence and artistry that enhances the viewer's connection to the work. The catalogue serves as a physical representation of Ruth's creative journey, allowing her to showcase her paintings in a format that can be collected, cherished and shared.
